The development of this tactical FlashPoint stems from Buck's desire to offer safe and reliable knives for those whose life may depend on a good tool. The original 770 Flashpoint, positioned for the outdoor enthusiasts is such a sturdy knife, with great contouring and heavy duty blade, Buck engineers felt it would be a great tool to crossover into the law enforcement field. Adding the titanium coating ensures a strong and more corrosion resistant blade for those working under any circumstances.
The 770 utilizes Buck's SafeSpin technology and a SUR-Lock mechanism, which locks open and closed and can easily be rotated open, even with gloves on. The lightweight aluminum handle is contoured for a secure grip and includes rubber inlays for added security. The Titanium coated 420HC blade is nonreflective and heavy duty, offered with partial serrated or standard blade. As a bonus, this knife incorporates into the handle a bottle opener and carabiner clip for easy attachment.
