Integral Drop Point Hunter with knurling on the top for a thumb rest
It measures 4" to the grind on the guard, 4 7/8" to where the stag starts and 8 3/4" overall
This knife is all one piece made out of 3/8" steel-that is what it measures at the thickest part on the guard
The top of the blade measure just under 1/4" (like a 32nd less)
Stag slab handles with worked pins to fit the handle
I am not sure what blade steel
Comes with a thick hand made leather sheath
In 1989, he moved to Dallas, Texas, and was an apprentice in the custom knife shop of his uncle, G.W. Stone. After becoming an accomplished maker of fine hunting knives, he returned to Joplin and opened his own shop, Webb Custom Knives. His knives were shipped to hunters and collectors all over the United States and several foreign countries. His knives are now sought by avid collectors.
Jimmy Dan Webb, age 54, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Jan. 15, 2009, of heart failure.
This knife was won by a gentleman who lives in Joplin. He said he won it in a big Buck contest in 1991. It has been a one owner and is slightly used.
I tried to take a pic of the edge-it shows some very light sharpening marks on the front side
