Buck Knife
426 Bucklite
Pre Date Code tang stamp-these were not introduced until 1984, this is one made the first two years of production. In 1986 Buck starting using date codes on their knives.
Olive Drab (Green) Handle
In 1988 Buck redesigned the Bucklite. In the second generation Bucklite, (instead of 2 piece valox), Buck was able to injection-mold a single piece of thermoplastic for the entire handle. The new handle is solid on the butt end of the knife and the blade is held in place with and pivots on a single brass rivet. An open groove formed along the back accommodates the rocker and the tension bar for the lock is inserted in a small hole at the base of the handle. This eliminated the rivets needed to hold the older handle together.
Lockback
Made in the USA
Closed length 4 7/8"
Blade length 3 3/4"
This knife has been used and carried but appears to have a full blade-shows some sharpening marks on the blade
Still overall this is a nice knife
